The Math Tournament is held each April at Jacksonville State University (JSU).

 

Each class can have a team (Ex:  7th grade, 8th grade, Algebra I, Algebra IA, etc.)



There are 6 members per team with the top 4 scores counting.



The test consists of 50 multiple choice questions, 5 tie-breakers, and 16 free response ciphering questions (the ciphering questions are timed).



Trophies are given for team scores and individual scores.

The 1st place individual winner in Pre-Calculus will also win the Martha Knight Scholarship, provided through the Math Department of JSU.  The scholarship covers expenses during the first year of college at JSU.
